Entire House Home Air Cleaners May Be The Right Option

Warming up a house interior is for most people almost a reflex action – simply press this button or turn up this dial. There are other ways though, which could be just as handy but with other advantages. You can heat your house, your local school or business in an economical manner by installing solar energy, which is rather easy to do. The onset of winter does not mean no solar power – many ways exist to capture the energy of the sun even then. A solar source like a sun room is needed, which not only attracts the sun but also traps the heat in it.

A sun room is generally connected to the house and is constructed with plenty of floor to ceiling glass panels. To get the whole effect of the heat, these rooms are normally situated so they are facing the morning sun. Everything in the room becomes heated up by the sun rays as the sun shines through the glass into the room. The heat does not escape through the glass, and remains within the room. As long as the room is made the right way, the heat is very efficient, together with being natural.

Some of the other forms of solar power heat include such things as thermal mass, which holds in the heat once it absorbs it. It works by absorbing and retaining the heat until the sun goes down and then starts to disperse it. Another natural solar heating and ventilation system is the trombe wall, which holds the heat by means of air channels. A thermal mass and a glass object are placed to face the sun, and the heat is trapped between the two. The heat is stored inside a wall and eventually radiated by it, distributed through appropriately placed vents. A different one that also uses a wall facing the sun is a transpired collector, which warms the air with the captured sunshine, as it goes into the ventilation system.

A building can be ventilated by using a solar cooling process. It utilizes a steam engine that runs on solar power, with a cooling device connected to it, which collects the heat and turns the steam into ice. One other solar powered ventilation system is the solar chimney, which is made of a hollowed out thermal mass. Air inside the chimney is heated and as it rises it is distributed to where it is required. There are thus quite a few ways of warming up buildings like your home or a school. There are more ways, but these few serve to illustrate how the sun’s heat can be utilized by using natural materials. Only renewable resources are utilized and the heating is completely natural.

If you want to stop utilizing non-renewable resources to heat your residence, the examples given earlier should provide food for thought. The only source of energy they use is the sun. You will get the best use from these systems if your home is in a consistently sunny area. Everyone needs a source of energy for warming up their abode.
